Barney’s Adventure Park is where Drumheller’s fascinating coal mining and agricultural stories come alive through a mix of fun, interactive activities. Here, it’s all about having a blast while soaking in a bit of history.

UNCOVER SECRETS IN THE BONEYARD
Dive into the prehistoric world at the Boneyard, where Drumheller’s dinosaur legacy roars to life! Unearth the mysteries of the past at the Dino Dig Site, steer through ancient trails on the Dino Truck, be greeted by the awe-inspiring Live Dinosaur Entrance, and snap a moment in time with the mighty T-Rex Photo Op.

The Gritty coal mining history of Drumheller was our inspiration. The Morse Mine, Bleriot Ferry, 11 Bridges to Wayne and Star Mine are all honoured with our take on adventure. Run Swing, Jump, slide and glide yourself through our Drumheller Valley inspired Boomtown!

We Celebrate the agriculture history of the Drumheller Valley! Wander in the Corn Maze, take the Sunflower and Pumpkin Patches, cheer on the piglets in Ma Gilbert’s Mini Pig Races. Blast the Pumpkin Cannon, race friends at the Pedal Cart Races, play Games, pet Baby Goats, Chickens, Cows, Horses and even say “hi” to Nacho our Alpaca!

Each of our programs has been designed around the school curriculum and our programs can be tailored to your age group as well.
Barney’s Barnyard Bonanza
Experience the joy of new beginnings and the wonders of growth with Barney’s Barnyard Bonanza! With our hands-on approach, the program provides an immersive experience in the life cycles of plants and animals. Spend quality time learning about our barnyard babies and learning how to plant and grow your own sunflower to take home!

Barney’s Prehistoric Puzzlers
Say goodbye to bored classrooms and hello to an educational escapade with lasting educational value. Don your thinking caps, grab your magnifying glasses, and prep your best Sherlock Holmes impression! A “prehistoric crime” has been committed at Barney’s and it’s up to your students to help us solve the mystery!

Gems & Grit
Journey into Mining’s Past: Explore the vibrant stories hidden within rocks and minerals, turning textbook learning into exciting, hands-on discovery panning for gemstones. Students mine for their own gemstones and receive an identification card to take home with their new found treasures!

Barney’s Park Pursuit
From paleontology puzzles to ancient artifact recognition, students don their thinking caps and team up to conquer exciting activities set against the prehistoric landscape of the Drumheller Valley. Students race against the clock to complete thrilling tasks as a team in this invigorating adventure!

Student admission is included in the program prices.
Meals are an additional cost to the program price, it is $10.00 per person and that includes a hot dog, small bag of chips and a bottle of pop or water.
